“One Small Step” Event in Minneapolis, Nov. 20, 2010

The Han-Schneider International Children’s Foundation (HSICF) will be hosting “One Small Step,” an event featuring live music and a silent auction at Hennes Art Company, 1607 Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis on Saturday, November 20, 2010, from 7-10 pm.

HSCIF founder Sam Han will be present to speak about his experience as a child orphaned during the Korean War and his inspiration to begin his foundation, in honor of his adoptive father, the late Dr. Arthur Schneider. The children the foundation works with are in desperate need of basic provisions, including food, clothing, and medical supplies. “We are committed to making sure that not one more child needlessly dies,” says Han.

“One Small Step” guests will enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres as well as music by Kaytee Shay, as they peruse artwork, from posters to originals, by a variety of local and nationally known artists, among other silent auction items, including restaurant, hotel and spa packages, art tickets, sports tickets, and more. Proceeds go towards funding for essential supplies to orphanages. Tickets are $35 online or $40 at the door. The Hennes Art Company is located in downtown Minneapolis, across the street from the Basilica.
